Já Shir Khan aposta na diversidade de escolha para promover o seu maximal, aqui em forma de coletânea, uma das mais aplaudidas do ano por sinal. Além do Digitalism que quase apresentou as faixas do seu elogiado álbum de estréia Idealism aqui no Brasil em 2007.
Logo acima na Inglaterra, a dupla Simian Mobile Disco lançou seu primeiro álbum, Attack Decay Sustain Release, no mesmo tempo que a conceituada BBC Radio 1 adiciona ao seu cast o DJ Kissy Sell Out. Esse inglês, dono de vários remixes pertencentes às listas de melhores do ano, usa timbres agudos e cheios de eco como assinatura de seu trabalho.
Enquanto Knightlife, Riot in Belgium e MIAMIHORROR mantêm a ensolarada Austrália bem representada, Shinichi Osawa não deixa o Japão por trás e lançou uma versão de "Star Guitars' (Chemical Brothers), talvez o melhor cover feito em 2007.
BRASILIANISMOS
Por aqui, o movimento cresce entre DJs e ganha fãs. Aos poucos, começam a surgir os primeiros projetos inspirados na cena internacional e, coincidentemente, os maiores destaques brasileiros são feitos por duplas. Os fluminenses do Twelves seguem a linha electro-house ácida do Justice na hora de compor seus sets e remixes, muitíssimos blogados pelo mundo recebendo dezenas de elogios. Ainda como destaque no Brasil estão as duplas Roots Rock Revolution, Database e Killer on the Dancefloor.
Como todo novo estilo musical, há aqueles que fazem esse tipo de música antes dela ter esse label, aqueles que negam sua existência e aqueles que são atirados num balaio cheio de pessoas de sonoridades diferentes. Contudo, esse não é um movimento disforme e irregular como a new rave foi em 2006. Se esse ano foi marcado pelo surgimento do maximal, 2008 pode esperar a consolidação do movimento e muitos, mas muitos filhos/clones do Justice, netos do Daft Punk, nas mais diversas embalagens.
Que consigamos filtrar bem para não cair nas repetições excessivas que já tiraram o charme de N estilos de outros tempos.
