Today and tomorrow, please join us for a pivotal symposium addressing the critical public health issue of suicide in the Americas, jointly organized by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). With over 93,000 lives lost annually to suicide in the region and a 17% increase in suicide rates over the past two decades, the need for immediate, evidence-based action is clear. The symposium aims to unite researchers, policymakers, and mental health advocates to explore innovative strategies for suicide prevention, evidence-based prevention approaches, service delivery models, and national experiences in implementing these strategies. The symposium will be live-streamed with simultaneous translation in English and Spanish. Learn more at: https://go.nih.gov/OHOJh8H
