Divisions

Civil Division
The Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Puerto Rico represents the United States and its departments and agencies in a broad array of defensive and affirmative civil lawsuits arising primarily in the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts for the District of Puerto Rico.

Criminal Division
The Criminal Division is in charge of prosecuting Federal criminal cases in the District of Puerto Rico. It is composed of approximately 40 prosecutors, most of whom are Assistant U.S. Attorneys, but also a group of Special Assistant U.S. Attorneys who are on detail in our office.
