A child’s mental health is shaped first and foremost by their family. We know that family engagement is a key to mental health wellness in children, and that this effect carries on to adulthood. Family engagement can be as simple as knowing where your child is at all times or eating a meal together every day. Take the first step to engage with the children in your lives and help build a foundation for life-long wellness. It's Children's Mental Health week! So we wanted to share some useful tips to help promote healthy minds in our children. These simple steps can go a long way in helping children to prioritise their mental health from an early age, something we think is so crucial. So we're supporting the Children's Mental Health week in their goal of making sure that no child or young person has to face a mental health problem alone. The theme this year is 'My Voice Matters', which is all about empowering children and young people by providing them with the tools they need to express themselves. When we feel empowered, this can have a positive impact on our wellbeing. Children and young people who feel that their voices are heard and can make a difference have a greater sense of community and self-esteem Place2Be ❤️📣 #childrensmentalhealthweek #childrensmentalhealthmatters #healthyminds #healthyhabits #awareness #mentalhealth #CFSCare #fostering #fostercare #fostercarers #healthymindtips #childrensmentalhealthtips #healthyliving #youngpeople

#RRHospitals On this "World Mental Health Day," Feels that it is important to emphasize that awareness and open discussions about mental health can significantly reduce misconceptions and stigma. This, in turn, can encourage individuals who are struggling to seek help and establish a support network. It is crucial to recognize that children's emotional well-being is equally significant as their physical health. Developing good mental health in children equips with the resilience needed to navigate life's challenges and ultimately enables them to become healthy, well-rounded adults. #RRHospitals #Worldmentalhealthday #HealthyLiving #Wellness #HealthTips #MedicalCare #HealthEducation #MedicalServices #PatientCare #HealthyCommunity #SuperSpecialtyCare #dammaigudahealthcare

This week is Children's Mental Health Week. A week that has grown in importance and significance in the last few years and rightly so. Sadly, never have the stats around children's mental health been as stark as they are today. Some may say that's because they've not been tracked historically in the way they are now or that things were so unspoken that the true issues were unseen and whilst some of that may be true, we cannot ignore the fact that our children need greater support. This year's theme is 'My Voice Matters' and the thinking behind this is that when children feel that their voices are heard and they can make a difference, this gives them a greater sense of community and self-esteem which has a positive effect on their overall wellbeing. At R;pple we know only too well the risks that face the children of today, namely those that exist online, which is why we've created a guide which you can find on our website, to help parents and carers know what to look out for. Please feel free to download and share this with anyone who you think may benefit from it: https://lnkd.in/ecX62YJY #MentalHealth #Suicide #SuicideAwareness #RippleSuicidePrevention #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealthAwareness #ItsGoodToTalk #OnlineSafety #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek

There is a gap that exists for children in mental health provision and we are working to ensure that no one, NO ONE, falls into the gap 🛑. This is The Worry Wizard Way ➡ 🌟 … our unique way of showing up for the children who most need our help ✨. This is ambitious, hopeful, aspirational; but it is also right. We ask children to be courageous when they are struggling and to share their struggle. When they find the Courage to do this, it is vital the support is there. There should be NO GAP in provision 🛑. A gap refers to a space, an interval, a break; for many the gap is a gaping chasm, a void that no one steps into and helps them out of. Many, MANY children fall into and remain in the gap. This is not right 💔. No child should fall into the gap. We must do better, Amy✨ #fromworriestowellbeing #thegap #noonefallsintothegap #ohana #noonegetsleftbehind #childrenswellbeing #childrensmentalhealth #childmentalhealth #whywedowhatwedo #bettertogether #workingtogether #howwework #theworrywizardway #emotionalliteracy #childrenswellbeing #MentalHealthEmergency #YoungMinds #YoungPeopleMatter #mentalhealthmatters

If we want to truly build the wellbeing of the next generation, we need to start with prevention first. The time has come to reset how we approach children and young people’s mental health. How? We need to make wellbeing the foundation. This means renewing our focus on prevention and early interventions to help children and young people before more expensive specialist care is needed later down the line. This will not only improve young people’s lives in the short term. It will also help in the long run, too, as studies show mental ill health is linked to reduced school attendance, lower attainment of skills and lower lifetime earnings.
