"The ANCC Pathway to Excellence Framework depicts the six standards that are essential elements in developing a positive practice environment for nursing across a variety of healthcare settings including acute care and long-term care." > Shared Decision-Making creates opportunities for direct care nurses to network, collaborate, share ideas, and be involved in decision-making. > Leadership supports a shared governance environment by ensuring that leaders are accessible and that they facilitate collaborative decision-making. This standard also emphasizes leadership development, orientation, retention, accountability, and succession planning. > Safety prioritizes both patient and nurse safety, and fosters a respectful workplace culture free of incivility, bullying, and violence. > Quality is central to an organization's mission, vision, goals, and values, and is based on person- and family-centered care, evidence-based care, continuous improvement, and improving population health. > Well-Being promotes a workplace culture of recognition for the contribution of nurses and the healthcare provider team. Additionally, this standard provides staff with support and resources to promote their physical and mental health. > Professional Development ensures that nurses are competent to provide care and provides them with mentoring, support, and opportunities for lifelong learning. https://lnkd.in/dUN6qhQ5.

Forging Solutions to Healthcare’s Greatest Challenges | Cultivating Colleague Happiness & Career Opportunities | Advancing Patient Care
I have the opportunity to talk with a leading academic medical center later today about opportunities to reduce documentation burden on nurses. Specifically, we're talking about a project focused on optimizing nursing flowsheets. Without appropriate governance and review processes flowsheets, like physician notes, become bloated over time resulting in substantial unnecessary documentation. There is a solution though! Evergreen Healthcare Partners has partnered with multiple organizations on similar projects and the results are astounding. On a recent project, our team was able to retire 32% of the flowsheet rows from key templates, resulting in a NEAT tool validated 40% decrease in time spent in flowsheets. This reduces nurse burnout and improves patient satisfaction. Huge!

Healthcare Executive Leader | Executive Coach | Coaching Leaders to Uncover Blind Spots | Former System CNO of 4X Magnet Organization | Partner & Strategist to Transform Healthcare Teams | 1:1 & Team Leadership Coaching
CNEs and CNOs: As executive nurses, we know that teamwork and collaboration are essential components of delivering quality care to our patients. However, it is critical to remember that interdependence is equally important. Interdependence refers to the mutual reliance between team members, where each person's contributions are necessary for the collective success of the team. This concept is especially relevant in healthcare, where a single error or miscommunication can have serious consequences for patient outcomes. 🎯 When we recognize and embrace interdependence, we can leverage each other's strengths, minimize weaknesses, and work together towards a common goal. ⭐ As executive nurses, it is our responsibility to foster an environment that promotes interdependence. I created the Elevating Nursing Leadership Impact system to do just this...achieve interdependence. 🎯 Let's continue to work together to embrace the power of interdependence in healthcare. By doing so, we can achieve our goals and provide the highest level of care to those who need it the most.
