ONC Releases Common Agreement Version 2.0, Paving the Way for TEFCA Exchange via FHIR. This is a big step towards universal nation-wide interoperability. "The Common Agreement establishes the technical infrastructure model and governing approach for different health information networks and their users to securely share clinical information with each other – all under commonly agreed-to rules-of-the-road." In a large way this basically sets up the ways & means of sharing medical information throughout the USA. https://lnkd.in/gesWK_vp

ONC HTI-1 was published Wednesday along with fact sheets, measure specs, and upcoming webinars. https://lnkd.in/eik8mMnx I haven't made my way through all of it yet, but a couple FHIR highlights: - Adoption of USCDI V3 / US Core 6.1.0 and SMART 2.0.0 - New requirements for issuing refresh tokens and revoking access privileges - Spec sheets for measuring FHIR server, client, and bulk data usage - Service base URL list must be published using the FHIR Endpoint resource The Firely team has already started building data and testing US Core 6.1.0 with plans to SVAP in Q1. #onchti1 #interoperability #healthIT #data

What’s the dream? For Micky Tripathi, it means enabling connectivity analogous to that provided by the nation’s cell phone network. Whether you get your service from Verizon, AT&T or any other provider, cell phone users are able to communicate and share pictures or files with anyone else in the country, no matter which service provider they’re using. TEFCA promises seamless health data exchange across providers, but will it deliver the dream of nationwide interoperability? Fred Bazzoli dives in and covers TEFCA as it gets going, the progress so far, and some still unknowns. Read it now via Health Data Management: https://bit.ly/3sX5RNO | #TEFCA #QHINs #Interoperability #HealthDataExchange
