The National Interest opines whether Barack Obama was America’s worst president.
Better than the opinion I attached to this post, George Will, a veteran Washington Post commentator, for whose wisdom I have great respect, had this to say about Obama: Obama was indeed transformational, unfortunately https://lnkd.in/e3wi8uBu. He had similar things to say about Bill Clinton, also whom I critiqued in real time.
My critique of Obama was stinging but not disrespectful and in real time in the period 2008-2012, even as T. Boone Pickens, for whose grassroots advocacy I was leading the State of Maryland, was directly working with the president and the Congress to get legislation on America’s energy independence passed, which did.
I coined the word Obamacare in an Op-Ed contribution to the Wall Street Journal, directly wrote to Obama about why it will not work and spoke to a member of his Council of Economic Advisers (CEA), protested his Nobel peace prize in 2009 as premature, wrote a Wall Street Journal Op-Ed contribution, parts of which went into his Nobel acceptance speech in 2009, and never voted for him.
It can all be found at: TAMIRISA, One World, https://www.tamirisa.com.
America had many bad presidents - it is not about race and it is not personal, in fact I like him and I think he means well but did not know how to translate his words into action - the best four are on Mount Rushmore from whom the rest can learn and reflect, https://lnkd.in/ebFmn68m, https://lnkd.in/eHZu9zxs.
The news media and government institutions should never commandeer a whole society to make a president succeed, compromising democratic pluralism.
In my case it was The Washington Post and Federal Reserve Board.
I told Obama directly on X from my account @1_776 since 2012, I will help him finish his unfinished community organizing project in South Side Chicago for $20 million, $1 million in restitution for every year I lost since 2003.
