Humans are not designed to seek endorphin. Seeking the other happy chemicals is good, but endorphin is meant for emergencies only. And yet people do seek it so you need to understand it. Your Stone-Age ancestor could seek help after they broke a bone thanks to endorphin. The good feeling evolved to mask pain, not to make you happy. It wears off in a short time because of pain is necessary to know when an injury needs protecting. You have experienced endorphin if you have ever taken a bad fall and told people you were fine, only to realize 15 minutes later that you are not at all fine. The danger of chasing endorphin is obvious if you imagine yourself stepping into a hot tub. It feels great for a moment because it triggers endorphin. But in a few minutes the good feeling is gone. You would get more if you made the water hotter, but that would be dangerous and stupid. Eating hot peppers triggers endorphins, but eating more and more peppers will not bring lasting happiness.
