At the #IowaPorkCongress24, Dr. Anna Forseth, NPPC Director of Animal Health, Rob Brenneman, with Brenneman Pork and NPPC board member, and Dr. Jeff Kaisand, with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, spoke on the progress, future and importance of swine movements and traceability in the event of a foreign animal disease outbreak. Traceability not only supports disease management, but it plays a significant role in our ability to regionalize — that is, segregate affected areas from disease-free areas — an outbreak and resume trade. #PorkPriorities
