I addressed World Health Organization member states on U.S. health priorities at the 77th World Health Assembly: “Health, and threats against global health, have an outsized influence on broader global political and economic interests. There is no stability without health. There is no security without health. Our nations cannot be strong unless they are healthy.” #WHA77

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of sitting down with Alexis Alemán and Irvin Garcia, two first generation medical school students. We discussed a number of topics, including health equity, access to care for the Latino community, and why representation matters in our health care system. The Biden-Harris Administration and HHS are rolling up our sleeves, getting our hands dirty, and fighting tooth and nail to ensure that every member of our immigrant family gets the care and support they deserve. 🎧 Watch below to hear more of our conversation! https://bit.ly/4dzsk6t #FoosInMedicine

As HHS Secretary & Chair of U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) addressing homelessness is a top priority for me. I was honored to host the United States Conference of Mayors Task Force on Homelessness and meet with mayors from across the country, from Mesa to Scranton and everywhere in between, to talk about this key issue.
