Starting in April 2023, Vermont was again required to see who could still get Medicaid and Dr. Dynasaur. Why? Starting March 2020, states were required to keep people on Medicaid with a few exceptions. Vermont met this requirement. The Public Health Emergency ended in May 2023. States have to prepare for Medicaid renewals to again begin happening. We made an unwind plan to ensure Vermonters continue to have positive health care options.
This page answered questions about the renewal process, what Vermonters could do to prepare, what to expect, and how to stay covered. The renewal effort was spread out over 14 months to ensure that all Vermonters enrolled in Medicaid were contacted before their renewal month. It Take more than a year to complete the process for all Medicaid enrollees.

- Complete, sign, and mail the renewal form.
