Eligibility for the ACP program can be determined by a variety of methods — one could be your household income or your current enrollment in various government assistance programs, such as: Lifeline, SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, SSI, FPHA, Vetrans Pension & Survivors Benefit, Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch/Breakfast Program(s) or Pell Grant eligibility.

You might be surprised at how many Vermont families can benefit from this monthly discount. If you believe you might qualify or know someone who may, we invite you to apply online.

You will be eligible for your monthly ACP credit for so long as the program lasts and for as long as you continue to qualify. While the ACP anticipates this program to last many years, there may come a time when this program is discontinued or replaced. At such a time, enrolled customers will be given at least 30 days notice beforehand.

The $30/mo. ACP credit can be used to cover any broadband internet service to which you subscribe. This credit may also be used in conjunction to packaged items, such as telephone + Internet or telephone + Internet + TV — in other words: if you are subscribing to an Internet service, your credit, up to $30/mo. will be applied to offset the internet portion of your bill. This credit may also be used to cover eligible 4G LTE broadband services through VTel Wireless.

Your ACP credit can not be higher than your internet charge with VTel or VTel Wireless.

Absolutely! If you are currently enrolled in a promotional service discount at the time of enrollment in ACP, your promotional rate will continue to apply. If your promotion ends while you are on ACP and your Internet service rolls to a higher monthly rate, your monthly ACP credit will increase accordingly up to $30/month.

After you receive confirmation of your ACP eligibility, you will need to notify us.  We will send you a Customer Enrollment Form that must be signed and returned to VTel before we can apply your credits.  Once we receive the enrollment form back, your ACP credit will show up as quickly as your very next bill. In some cases, when your enrollment form has been received just after a billing cycle cut, your credit may not show until the second bill. In these cases, your account will be prorated back to the date of receipt to ensure you receive the maximum credit.

*The VTel “All In” Fully Funded ACP Plan is only available to households which qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) credit. The “All In” plan features data speeds of up to 100 Mbps and includes equipment. The “All In” plan is for landline internet service only.

Additional internet plans may be eligible for the ACP credit, including grandfathered internet plans which are no longer available for new customers. Please contact us to review your bill to see how you can benefit from the ACP credit.
