I've frankly have been in government for,
as you noted, a very long time now, and I think it only took that first
experience in local city government for me to really appreciate how meaningful
and impactful it is to work in government for the people that that entity
serves, whether it's us here at HHS, whether it's a city government,
county government, really doing the people's business
is just a tremendous privilege. Once I had a taste and an understanding for that, I really have not
been able to go anywhere else. I just keep coming back and will continue
to do that as long as they'll let me.
