Protection from COVID-19 illness declines over time after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. If you’re over 75 and it’s been 6+ months since your last COVID-19 vaccine, you’re recommended to get another booster. If you’re aged 65 to 74, or 18 to 64 and immunocompromised you’re recommended to get at least one dose every 12 months, but can receive a dose every six months.
