SAMHSA's Center for Substance Abuse Prevention is accepting applications for FY 2003 cooperative agreements to support one-year planning and development grants to States and Territories that have not previously received a State Incentive Grant (SIG) award. These SIG Planning Grants provide resources and technical support to non-SIG states that wish to develop the capacity and infrastructure needed to more effectively compete for a full (3-year) SIG award. | |
Who Can Apply?Eligible applicants for the SIG planning grants are limited to the Office of the Governor in only those remaining States that have not yet received a SIG award. |

About SIG Planning Grants:Est. Funds for FY 2003: $1.8 million Est. No. of Awards: Up to 4 awards in FY 2003, each approximately $450,000 in total costs for up to one year Project Period: one (1) year These awards will provide resources and technical support to those remaining non-SIG states that wish to develop the capacity and infrastructure needed to more effectively compete for a full (3-year) SIG award. |

1. "Part I: Programmatic Guidance" of the Request

SAMHSA applications. However, not all RFAs require Part II.
