  • Today the HHS Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) celebrates International Women’s Day. In Fiscal Year 203, HHS awarded $2.70 billion dollars in prime contracts to women-owned small businesses. In addition, HHS surpassed its women-owned small business goal by reaching 6.67% which is a significant milestone. This not only highlights the dedication and capabilities of women entrepreneurs but also emphasizes the importance of fostering diversity and inclusivity in government contracting. Recognizing and supporting women-owned businesses not only contributes to the economic empowerment of women but also brings diverse perspectives and innovation to the business landscape. Celebrating the achievements of women in various fields, including government contracting, on International Women's Day is a meaningful way to acknowledge their contributions and inspire future generations. It also underscores the ongoing efforts to ensure equal opportunities for women and build a more inclusive and equitable professional environment.
